Gutter Tech Enterprise was back in New Hartford, NY to install our 6 inch commercial gutters on a newly renovated house.
In certain situations, a larger 6 inch commercial sized gutter is needed to handle the volume of water. After assessing the site, we determined the best approach to run the gutters and downspouts to maximize the ability to run the water away from the homes foundation. We also installed our larger 3×4 downspouts so as to drain the seamless gutters rapidly enough even in the heaviest Central New York downpours.
Gutters funnel water off of the roof and away from your home, which protects your siding, windows, doors and foundation from water damage. By the time a homeowner realizes what type of damage can be caused it’s usually too late. It is important to have properly functioning gutters, rainwater runs off the roof of the house and collects on the ground near the foundation. Heavy rains can result in standing pools of water, which can cause a multitude of problems.
Why is a commercial gutter installation so important?
- Home and basement flooding – A basement flood can cause irreparable damage to your home and, more importantly, the value of your home could suffer.
- Cracked foundation – Minor cracks can eventually lead to severe structural instability. Ultimately, a cracked foundation can leave your house unfit for habitation.
- Mold – Most insurance policies don’t cover mold damage.
- Erosion – If water is not correctly diverted away from your home the topsoil will erode and leave your foundation vulnerable.
- Exterior damage – Water damage to the exterior of your home can be an issue down the road through routine maintenance and it hurts your curb appeal.
It might sound dramatic, but if you live in an area, like Central New York, extreme weather conditions can cause serious damage to your home. One inch of rain on an average sized house creates about 500 gallons of rainwater runoff so it might be time for you to consider a commercial gutter install or consider a simple maintenance routine to be sure your gutters are working properly.
Our customer was happy to know that their newly remodeled colonial styled house will now be protected from the elements, and the foundation will not deteriorate from the heavy rain falls and constant dripping and melting throughout the winter month. Another job well done by Gutter Tech, and one more seamless commercial gutter install that will last a lifetime.

Central New York weather can be very detrimental to your home. We recently were called in to repair a home in New Hartford, New York with recent snow damage. This turned out to be quite the emergency as their prior gutter system was no match for our recent snow accumulation.
With the weight of the snow and poor design of the old gutters, some of the soffit and fascia became victim to the snow as the gutters failed. This type of issue is an emergency for a Central New York homeowner during the winter months.
A damaged soffit and fascia can allow heat to escape and the cold and moisture enter your home. Luckily we were called immediately and could provide a solution for the homeowner.
After cleaning up the old, damanged gutters we installed seamless aluminum gutters, along with repairing the soffit and fascia. We were happy to aid this family and their home during the poor weather. Their home is now back to 100% and more with high quality seamless gutters. Our customers were thrilled with our emergency service, and we look forward to them not having any issues with snow accumulation again.
